What You Can Expect

There are many thermal baths in Hungary and in Europe but Heviz is a natural thermal lake in a class on its own. With 4.44 ha water-surface and 60.5 ha conservation area it is the largest geothermal lake in Europe with constant water replenishing. The lake is surrounded by hills, enjoying a unique Mediterranean micro climate, with many sunny days. The water lilies dotting the lake brought to Hungary at the end of the 19th century with the purpose of supporting the eco-life, with leaves slowing down evaporation, and creepers protecting the medicinal mud on the bottom of the lake. The entire water changes within 3.5 days thus the water is crystal clear.Beside bathing in the unique water there are several treatments you can choose from, such as mud-pack, weight bath, underwater water-jet massage, effervescent bath, electronic bath, diadynamic electronic treatment, interference treatment, magnet therapy, four-chambered galvanic bath, ultrasound, medical gymnastics and medical massage. The adjoining hospital offers medical examination and complete treatment which is based on customised therapy plan with all the devices and equipment (laboratory, ECG, X-ray machine) which are necessary for providing professional medical services, establishing accurate diagnosis and providing efficient treatment for over 200 years. This is a whole day private tour with polite, English speaking driver. Pick up and drop off at your Budapest hotel. You can determine the time of the bathing depending on the treatments you wish to include but usually we calculate between 3 and 5 hour bathing time. We will help you with ticket purchase, booking treatments and massage.
